Re: chmod help

ok, any software it is.

grab the xampp lite zip: http://www.apachefriends.org/en/xampp-windows.html#646
unzip it to c:
run c:\xampplite\xampp-control.exe - start apache and mysql
go to http://localhost - pick your language
run phpmyadmin from the side menu, you need to create a database for punbb
unzip punbb, copy the upload directory to c:\xampplite\htdocs - rename upload to punbb
go to http://localhost/punbb/install.php in your browser, follow the directions

* don't worry about cache in windows

Ditch the arrogance and heed the advice you are being given. If all you needed was the 'chmod command', as you put it, you have already been given that in post two. Pay heed to advice or ignore it, but do not use the bombastic attitude towards those whose help you require.
