It's a feature. We don't want people qouting each others posts and having the same images displayed over and over again.

I vote for B too... - that being said I can't wait for PunBB 1.2 so I can disable smilies :-)

anyhow, look again - I tried all possible variations of vertical lines, this one (D) works somewhat acceptably, but he still looks freaky. I would still vote B, but C would work for me also. hm?

No, just two lines not three, asymmetric, he'll be a li'l yellow insane maniac psycho killer with the urgent need for a dental plan :D.

Also, much darker (the lines).

Yeah, no animations.

It think is good.. But would look better with 3 teeth, or 2 maybe :)

@SEM: that :O smilie of yours looks too happy - look at the letter O, it's round, not tilted in any direction .. yours looks more like saying "OOH" than "OH". Also, animations: a big, resounding "NO" - animation draws attention from the information, which is bad. Also, it sounds like most of us are already happy with those particular two smilies? :)

a bigger problem is the :D smiley - if you can come up with a better teethy smiley, please do ... I can't think of other ways to do it, two teeth just makes him look like a three-year old baby ;)
