Thanks Pierre, for the new address of the russian forum. I re-read the whole long post about Pan-uploader and I remember now that my own special version of the extension had been specially modified for me at the time, over 5 years ago ! The regular version does not fit my needs : I want sqlite 3 AND drag-&-drop AND keeping original file name.

I found a way to use my near-obsolete version with sqlite3 and php8 : I upload a 1st time either image or other file (pdf, zip). Nothing happens. Then I upload it a second time, it says that the file is already there. Then I click on OK in the popup and there it is, in the post for a picture, at the bottom of the post for a file to download.

An uneasy method for who is not aware, but my users seem to understand the principle.

I use my 2 forums  to propose downloads.

Be aware that this plugin Pan Uploader is not updated since 5 years at least (even on the new website) :

I know this. But I do not even use the 2018 official release, for the reasons exposed above. And since my last post in March,  the newest release of Firefox enables the upload at first shot. I am very satisfied with it.

So you made a custom plugin or you got a newest release elsewhere? If so, where?
Edit : reading again, you said that it's better due to newest release of Firefox, not a newest release of plugin, my bad...

@zetrader : The pan uploader 0.3.9 that I use on my forum is available for download on ... my forum. My environment is PHP: 8.1.19 and sqlite3.

Thanks for the information, just before your message, i took a look on your forum and i've seen you managed to do some nice path files for images :
uploads/images/year/month/day/filename.jpg (or png)
Nice job smile

So you use an older one 0.3.9 is much before 0.4.9...but it seems to work nice on your forum

Hi, do you know if the Pan Uploader plugin will be supported with the new PHP 8.4 version if there are future updates? With the regular changes in new PHP versions, I wonder if any adjustments will be needed to ensure its compatibility. Thanks in advance for your feedback!
