Hello,

I'm trying to install PunBB 1.2 on Debian woody with Mysql 3.xx and php4.
When i click "Start install" i get 2 errors messages, but the first line i don't understand what it is ?

An error occured on line 58 in file /var/www/monforum/include/dblayer/mysql.php.

PunBB reported: Unable to connect to MySQL server. MySQL reported: Access denied for user: 'usermonforum@localhost' (Using password: YES)

I installed PunBB 1.2 beta on my Debian Woody system without any problems, maybe something changed from beta to final in the database layer.

Saying that, I've since upgraded to Debian Sarge. With all the security issues of late, running an open connection to the next with anything less than PHP 4.3.10 is a risk.

It simply means that the user usermonforum connecting from localhost does not have access with the password you entered.
