I don't expect the forum to be very popular, but am hoping it will be useful nonetheless.

I've used many other boards; PunBB is very sleek and very nicely designed.

Re: http://brainmaps.org/forum

not bad for a newbie, some others have major problems

What do you mean? May I find a list of major problems somewhere?

you're right.  It's back up.    In general, I don't like placing "powered by [PHP, MySQL, Apache, Flash, CSS, XML, etc....]"  on a website because it may distract the attention of visitors from the site content.  However, having a "powered by PunBB" message is not too obtrusive and may serve to bring some attention to an excellent, albeit underappreciated and not well known, free php-coded forum.

I added a link at http://brainmaps.org/index.php?p=links too

a newbie?  the installation script could not have been any easier.    Kudos to the developers of the PunBB.

Re: http://brainmaps.org/forum

All to neubrain
1) Good Job by putting the link back on
2) Don't post twice in a row, even if they are different, just press edit and add the parts you missed
3) when i said newbie, it was dirrect to the site in genral, not the forum

Re: http://brainmaps.org/forum

Speechless, first of all, don't call people newbies, it only causes offence, secondly, whats it to you if he posts twice, as long as people don't repeatedly do it to boost post count then its not a problem.

@Speechless
Ok.

I have employed yabb se and invision powerboard in the past (phpbb I tried, but did not like) and have always enjoyed hacking the code for customization purposes.  In fact, the board at http://brainmeta.com/forum is based on invision powerboard.   PunBB is so small and light that it should be fun tinkering with the code.

hi Connorhd.  Nice to meet you.  Just checked your site at http://www.mirc-chat.net/ .   There appears to be a big spam post by "dttdf" on the front page.

Re: http://brainmaps.org/forum
