Ahha, you can goto VB.net, or.... Effeil is a good choice.

Maybe they'll Open Source Delphi, there is Kylix in the mix, so it may happen.

Effeil is a software designing system, includes a language named Effeil.
Supports DbC (Design by Contact), as they thought, without which all software is designed the wrong way.

Re: Delphi goodbye

Delphi distribute with the source of all library of all components and objects, so your projects will not build with closed source units.
but the core of Compiler and IDE not included (closed source) and all of library, compiler and IDE are not free.
I dont think Borland will open the source of delphi because (as i read on internet) Microsoft has 40% of Borland, the programmers of Delphi architect come to C#, When i see C# i feel i see Delphi but with C syntax, so most of programmers of delphi will choose C# as next language and Microsoft will not Lose the new customers.
That mean the fate of Delphi is to Die slowly, for me it is realy dead.
My plan in fact and i started before one year to build Library compiled with FPC and some of my classes was done, so my Progress runing, what i need build and new IDE as like Lazarus but i like build my own IDE, i can do it but i have not time this days (My customers upgrade to new my Application).

My strategy is: Mot Stuck with Microsoft, and Use language compile for multi platforms, and the most important must be a Free.
