Topic: newbie with problems

hello all, well i resolved my base url issue thanks to this forum and all was fine for a week until today after returning home while trying to log to the forum i get this error so im back once more

An error was encountered
Error: Unable to fetch category/forum list.

i mean it was all fine and i had changed nothing to cause this so im lost. can someone explain in simple as possible terms what i should do about this. thank you

I remember an error like that when Rickard was updating this site from PunBB 1.0.1 to PunBB 1.1...

Enable DEBUG mode and try it again. A more detailed error message will appear.

Thank you Rickard and Dale for the reply.  i am running 1.1.1 btw.

Now this morning i can log in to the forum with no problems at all , as if nothing had even happened.i had done nothing.but i will enable debug mode asap

You should only enable debug mode if you run into problems. If everything is working, you should have it disabled.
