Oops, should've mentioned that I meant the navigation for the admin pages. roll

ca_admin_menu_new_sublink in common_admin.php ?

Using that one will make the links appear in the very beginning of the navbar, unless I'm wrong about how arrays work in PHP.

All my other "hook needs" have been solved by workarounds, by using some hook nearby. (adding content to index.php above the forum listing for example) But I must say that it overall looks awesome. smile

Wouldn't $prefix="prefix" be better, so it's possible to set a prefix (or none) instead of the default one? Just a thought. smile

But are not all of those features already available in FF/IE7?

Well, it's not that strange that people get upset when someone questions their view on life, sometimes more.

you mean "you think that this sums up religion quite nicely?"

Do explain your reason or thoughts on your remark?

That any religion won't exist (or do any difference for that matter) without it's believers. It's the faith itself that does it, not what you believe in. (I don't mean values, norms and such, I mean "God", "Allah", or whatever it's called in your current area code) Your norms, values and alikes are just a part of the culture that you've been influenced by the most, may it be the bible, MTV or php.net.

I dont see the reason for a debate really, cause I don't need to convince anyone that I'm right. (It's enough that I myself believe in it, and there ya go, a new religion. wink)

If you've enabled access to other servers for fopen() it might be, otherwise i would try using fsockopen().

Seems to me like a good place for one of those hook thingies. smile

I still don't get it. Combining Vista and Leopard this way makes both parts worse. hmm

Ok...

Check that you don't have anything before "<?php" on the first line in config.php.

Won't this become a problem if you have one user with the email myname@gmail.com and one with myname@hotmail.com for example?

That's because you've nested the else inside the if. Written like that, you will only get to the else if the if is true. (euh, worst explanation ever) Just remove the curly braces and you should be fine. smile

Awesome looks (and functionality), but what happened to the PunBB copyright notice? Or am I missing something?

Get a real host, or update by hand? big_smile

Seems to me that there will be (at least) two solutions to the same problem then. wink

But shouldn't it be possible to make an extension to download and update other extensions? An extension repository, like package management systems in *NIX systems.

This must be one of the most unnecessary mods ever, as the search function in 1.3 doesn't work at all. (at least not for me) But hey, it's the first third party extension for PunBB 1.3! big_smile

It simply adds a small search bar next to the links in the navigation bar. Install by unzipping and putting the folder "Quicksearch" in the extensions folder, don't forget to activate it under Administration->Extensions.

Also, on the topic of other forum software with a similar plugin architecture to PunBB 1.3, one would have to mention vBulletin 3.something.

Yes, but vBulletin isn't free. wink

As long as it's released under GPL (or some similar license) and you don't have to keep a "huge" copyright notice like with SMF I won't complain. smile Btw, will there be an option to pay to be allowed to remove the copyright notice altogether? (Powered by...)

The plugin "Languages and styles" from http://punbb.org/downloads.php does that trick, as well as a few more. smile
