There is one way to get it - by means of an SQL-query, group id and group names aren't cached. But you can cache them for your purposes in your extension.

There is no special function to get a user group, but you can get a group id using the global array $forum_user, key 'g_id'

This method will not work correctly, because of the punbb cookie. What is the structure of your site? Where do you want to perform this check, and where is your forum located?

What is the version of pun_poll? When you press the "Submit" button, the form should appear at the top of the page. Previewing a voting form isn't implemented yet, maybe it will be done later. Thanks for the idea

Thanks for reporting, we have fixed it. The new hotfix is available now. It should be detected automatically, if your forum is set for periodic update checking.
