Thanks for reporting, the bug was fixed. A new version available on the extension page, in SVN or you can get it via pun_repository extension.

This article should help you to work with query results.

There is one way to get it - by means of an SQL-query, group id and group names aren't cached. But you can cache them for your purposes in your extension.

There is no special function to get a user group, but you can get a group id using the global array $forum_user, key 'g_id'

Is this supposed to work with 1.3.0? I get this error when I try to install it

The error occurred on line 94 in /***/admin/extensions.php(176) : eval()'d code
Database reported:
ERROR: column "p_pun_poll_enable_read" does not exist .

I have a similar problem with pun_poll.

When did this error appear? What actions led to it?

When I click one of the tags while viewing a topic I get an index error message on the search page for that tag.

What is the error message?

Done in http://punbb.informer.com/trac/changeset/1025

We have created a new page on Wiki. We will fill this page with information about the differences between PunBB 1.2 and 1.3. You can help us with this too.

This method will not work correctly, because of the punbb cookie. What is the structure of your site? Where do you want to perform this check, and where is your forum located?

I've edited my lang file because the big text was driving me crazy having to scroll past that every time.

ALSO, I normally create topics by typing my message and pressing ALT then ENTER just like sending email with Gmail. But now, because of the poll options ALT and ENTER doesn't create the new topic. So perhaps we could change the tab order so that pressing ALT still jumps directly to the "submit" button. That would be coooooool.

What browser are you using?

Cosmetic stuff at the Forum > Administration > Settings > Features page

1)
First line: "Disable revotinginfo" on the left, "Disable revoting" on the right.
Second line: "Disable see results" on the left, "Disable see resultsinfo" on the right.
Third line: "Maximum answersinfo" on the left, "Maximum answers" on the right.

Inconsistency. And, besides, the "... info" strings should be on the right side since they in fact explain meaning of the parameters on the left.

2)
String "Users can see poll results without voting." ("Disable see results info") is shown in black, while all other parameter strings at that page are shown in a shade of blue.

3)
The names of the "Disable..." parameters are misleading since what they actually do isallow.

Have you installed the latest version of pun_poll? Are you talking about keys in the lang file?

Thanks, fixed.

All clear with creation of new topics, but then I (as moderator) edit old topic, I see those voting fields again...

Nice!
I see only one trouble, not critical one, but a bit disapointing: moderators still can see voting fields during topic creation, despite of Voting permissionis disabled

gokieks wrote:

Typo: Header note is "Vouting", should be "Voting".
Typo/Grammar: "You are can't see the votes until you vote yourself." - need to remove the "are".
Grammar: In admin section, the option "Unvoted users can see poll results" soundsvery awkward.  "Users can see poll results without voting" would be better.

Fixed in version 1.1.1. It is available on the extensions repository page. Or you can get it via pun_repository.

What is the version of pun_poll? When you press the "Submit" button, the form should appear at the top of the page. Previewing a voting form isn't implemented yet, maybe it will be done later. Thanks for the idea smile

Pun_poll is being tested now. When its testing is finished, we will make a release and inform you.

This extension does not work. Why has it appeared in repository?

It has appeared in repository for more convenient testing by our employees. You have also tested it - I think this method of testing should help us to avoid possible bugs. Thank you for posting and for your bug reports smile

I haven't this error. nicolargo, what PHP version of your hosting?

Ranks work fine for me. Are you sure that the "User ranks" option is enabled? And what is the rank of users with 200+ post, for example?

This feature will be implemented in PunBB 2.0. Or it can be an extension for 1.3.
