A few of my members have discussed and agreed that it would be fabulous if when you change your avatar it only applies to future posts, not previous ones. Do when you look back through old posts you could see people's previous avatars. Nice and nostalgic, like looking through old school photos or something.

it's just a matter of creating a new forum category, creating a new user group and then only giving that group permission to view/post in that new forum.

I have no idea how to make my uploaded files show. I can't see them in viewtopic.php at all. What do I do to make them appear please? I've uploaded a 1mb image file successfully but they I can't see it anywhere
I can only add files for the first post in the topic, not for normal replies. That seems a wee bit silly. What if someone posts a topic saying "Does anyone a photo of a something-or-other", someone might want to reply saying "yes, here is one". But they can't.
Cheers Matt. Next time I'm due for a bandwidth upgrade (2 or 3 months I guess) I might demand the upgrade without paying any extra. Anyone know a good host that doesn't mind busy forums?

I might have to disable this one as I'm near my bandwidth limit at the end of every month and that's just off forum page views. My limit is 8GB per month. The hosting was unlimited bandwidth but they later told me it doesn't include forums 
what is the best way to download a directory like that? file by file (like I did) or is there a better, more reliable way?
I made sure the attachment folder is 777. Sorry I should have mentioned that in my previous post.

I cannot see any way to close the image apart from presing ESC but many users will not think to press escape and so they'll be stuck. I guess there is a little cross in the top-right of the image (?) but my browser doesn't let me scroll across to see it. That's with google chrome AND firefox.
I've edited my lang file because the big text was driving me crazy having to scroll past that every time.
ALSO, I normally create topics by typing my message and pressing ALT then ENTER just like sending email with Gmail. But now, because of the poll options ALT and ENTER doesn't create the new topic. So perhaps we could change the tab order so that pressing ALT still jumps directly to the "submit" button. That would be coooooool.

Using this form, you can create a new voting. The number of possible answers can't be less than 2. A question's length can't be less than 5 symbols. A answer's length can't be less than 2 symbols (characters). If you want to add an answer, enter the number of answers you require in the corresponding field and press "Update poll". You can choose the time when your voting will be finished. For this purpose, you can enter a count of days or a maximum count of votes. Remember: if you enter the count of days, the count of votes will be ignored. If your administrator allows to change a user's vote or unvoted users can see voting results, you will see appropriate options.
Also, it is full of double-negatives such as "Can't be less than"

See below to create an optional poll. You can choose to end the poll after a set amount of time or after a certain amount of votes have been cast.
There is no need to say any more than that really as you have error messages in place to prevent people creating only 1 answer or answers with not enough characters in.

Is there support for any smilies bigger than 15 x 15? Currently they get resized to 15 x 15 and look funny. Do I simply have to source new smilies at 15 x 15 or is there a way to display bigger ones?
