Thanks, but it didn't work at all (I'd get a new message thou - Access denied smile ).

My guess is that it's something strange with the Punbo component and I think I'll ask there too.

My coding skills isn't much to brag about, but I think yours are so...
The link to a certain users profile page is http://mydomain/index.php?option=com_punbo&Itemid=36&task=profile&id=3 where id, of course, is the id of the user.

The Joomla/Punbo-thing is a little different from the Punbb-thing, I suppose.

Well, I suck. Thanks for your time. smile

Hi,
I'm using PunBB integrated in Joomla with the Punbo component.

The thing is that I wan't to use another meny than the real.
Everything's fine until I'm trying to make a option for the Profile page.

When I tried it went wrong in two ways. smile
First - I was tired when I tried so I simply put the URL I got when I pressed Profile and used it as the menu option. Well, my egocentric side liked it, because everyone came to my Profile page when the tried to access their owns.
Second - I tried to remove all possible parameters from the URL. Id, task, itemid. Everything went wrong.

Now I'm stuck without a clue what to do.

Is there an URL that leads to everyones own profile page without using the id parameter?

The site is in swedish but I link you up to the forum:

At the moment their's only the Private message-system "installed" at my board and that's only because I'm too lazy or because I really suck when it comes to php.

If someone's got a board with all mods install and want to send it too me... wink wink tongue big_smile

Making Admin and Mods a different colour is easy (I think). I will try it out and post the instructions. Before doing that could you tell me what this groupmod is, I've forgotten if there is one. It might be possible to easily alter that to give different colours to different groups.

This is the group mod I found at the Mod Release-forum and it would be really great if you could write the color mod. It's not necassary if it works together with the group mod or not. It would be nice anyway. smile

Nope, the "Preview"-button just doesn't appear.

Okay, now I feel really useless. smile

I now it's hard to help with just a short description like mine, and I know my english isn't the best.

I think you allready guessed that I didn't make it work. wink

Step by step, this is what I've done:
1. Downloaded and unzipped the PunPostPreview_v1.1.2.zip
2. Uploaded the preview_post.php to ./include/preview/
3. Edited the en_common.php (and the se_common.php, but that doesn't matter because I use english as language until I see that it's working correctly) with just pasting the line
"'Preview'                =>    'Preview',    // "name" of preview buttons" under "// Miscellaneous (used in many scripts)" (right after the "submit-line", and uploaded the en_common.php to its folder again.
4. Uploaded the post.php you gave me.

Is there something I've done wrong or is this just another case of "typical programming"? smile

Sure. I've uploaded my "work-copy" of the file, it should work fine.

Download it here.

Thanks, I think I can make it work now. I'll ask again otherwise. wink

Hi,
I really think that it would be nice with the PostPreview mod, but I'm really useless when it comes to install it.
I've done everything (oh, it's just two steps but what the heck) when this line appears "3. Follow instructions in PunPostPreview.html". "Okay, that sound easy" is my first thought when I read this and opens the PunPostPreview_v.1.1.2.html. But then I'm lost. The only thing I found in that file was how the original post.php looks like, and what the changes would be. But I don't follow this instructions, I'm afraid.

Would somebody, please, help me with the last step in the installation, because I won't make it myself...

Okay, here's one more thing I really would appriciate a mod or something for.
I want to add new fields in user profile, for the users to fill in, for example a field in which the user can write her favorite game, favorite movie or something. Is this possible without too much work?

And another question about the profiles.
Is it possible to make something so admins can view profile without getting the edit profile-screen, and the same thing with users who wants to view their own profile without the edit profile-screen?

If it's possible to make this to things with mods or in future versions it would be great. smile

I searched the mod-forum but found nothing like this. I may be blind though.

I wonder if there's some mod or future feature that allow me to change the colors some of the users got on their user names. For example, give admins a certain color and give moderators another certain color (and even give some groups, made by the groupmod I found, a certain color).

Uh, I may be a little confused but I hope you can make it through my post anyway. wink
