anyone know whats wrong?
ahmm, maybe if the link worked we could
lets all go bumping topics almost a year old, and say nothing useful!
there is a split topic mod, merge would be very hard to do in my eyes
Dr.Jeckyl: I asked Rickard in irc but he says its not worth it since most of the time users don't have permission to create the file
my windows server has no problem with it
well, thanks for putting it on the list
1) open up your include/functions.php
2) look for the generate_navlinks function.
3) find the home link in there
4) change it to whatever you want it to be
5) save the file
6) upload the file
7) refresh your browser
no, it will only let you download it after you run the installer file. after its installed, and it gets to the screen that tells you to copy/paste the config.php file, then youd have the option of downloading it instead.
i didnt mean that you could download the config.php from any forum...
well, unless you mean on completely hiding them, no. but completley hiding them is a bad idea in my opinion
odd, the forums are running very fast, yet textdrive.com is extremly slow...
what i was thinking is having an option to download the config.php file during the install. So instead of having tocopy the file, paste it, save it, and then upload it, you would just download it and upload it.
it would be simple to do, and is one of the nice features about other forums like phpBB.
1) choose a topic
2) find a good CMS
3) install the code CMS
4) stop reading this.

yay!
- this would be pretty useless to add...
- just go into include/parser.php and remove the ones you want taken out.
ex. to remove [i] tag, delete this line '#\[i\](.*?)\[/i\]#s', and '<em>$1</em>',
okay, i got a newer one, and it has flash. its powered by some no name script, that chances are non of us have ever heard of....
when you quit, BE SURE TO CLICK LOGOUT. If you dont, none other users with that name will be able to login, as its not finished yet.
if it it keeps on saying that that username is taken, register and you will be able to get in.
edit: great, just as i post this the server crashes.... please keep on trying till it works again
wow, i never use it....
i really do mean never. i cant stand getting emails from these things.
Considering it's Pentium 3 450Mhz, I can't say I will lose any sleep over it
finnally, a server at the speed of my compter
exactley what i said
server crashes suck, but it seems worse when your host moves your site and forgets the database...
i think that would be hard. im pretty sure it removes you from that list when someone replies, so that you dont get bombarded with mails when there are 20 new replies
Not having this feature is the one thing that keeps me from changing from phpBB to PunBB.
if its a really big thing, just add it yourself. in phpBB, i didnt understand a thing. but in punbb, i understand alot, so its easy to mod
ahmm, that fixed it....
sort of suprised it did that.
v 1.0
res is 1024x768 high color (16bit) 43 hertz (interlaced)
eww, eww, eww...
i installed it, it went fine, the installer looked nice. i made the config.php file, all went well. i goto index.php and threw up.....
heres some screenies of what I saw
IE is okay, but i hate using it. firefox is just wrong...
my thought exactly...
there is no way to disable cookies, unless you want to delete the line of code and have PunBB not work at all
