1. Not really no.

2. http://punbb.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=8601

3. Sandbox.

4. I certainly hope before the end of the year. It all depends on how much time I can devote to PunBB. I'm trying to clear my schedule for late november, early december as much as possible.

The poster column is needed for guest posts.

pogenwurst. Thanks a bunch! Could you pop in on IRC a second?

Like I said, the random quote extension I created (which was just created to show off the functionality), does NOT replace <pun_announcement>. It replaces it with the quote box, but then appends <pun_announcement> to the end of the string.

Thanks, I'll include it in 1.3.

It's a problem I've encountered a lot. For example, when someone posts a link to a movie clip on IRC.

I just uploaded version 1.1 (awaiting approval) and in that version, I changed the icon to match the icon I made for this extension smile

I caved in and did it myself:

http://rickard.punbb.org/ff/clipboardsaveas-1.0.xpi

The extension adds a menu item to the Tools menu called "Save File from Clipboard". Just make sure the URL to the file you want to save is in the clipboard and then select that option in the menu.

It should appear on mozilla update if/when it gets approved.

In the future, I would appreciate if you posted the solution to the problem instead of removing the question.

Yes, I tested one called textplain, but it had too much functionality and bloated up the popup.

Try switch($_GET['act'])

Something that annoys me tremedously is pages with URLs that aren't links. This very simple extension allows you to select the URL text and right-click -> open it in a new tab.

https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/m … mp;id=1472

It removes any whitespace in the selected text so it should handle URLs that span over more than one line of text. It also replaces hxxp:// with http:// and opens the URL without sending any referrer info. Something that can be useful on certain sites wink

The extension should appear on Mozilla Update as soon as it has been approved.

Edit: Update the link to point to Mozilla Update. Thanks pogenwurst!

How are you trying to access the act variable? You have to use $_GET['act']

Aha, well, just edit profile.php and remove that part.

You have to either know somebody who would give you a copy or buy it to read the sources.

Or download it illegally from any kind of file sharing network. Something most "hackers" will do happily.

I already thanked the author via e-mail, but if you're reading this. Thanks once again smile

I must admit though, that I don't read NewsForge. Not because I don't like it, but because I didn't know of it at all. /me adds RSS feed to Firefox bookmarks!

The more people adopt it the more it will be a valuable target for hackers.

This really doesn't worry me that much. Sure, people are bound to find new security issues in PunBB in the future, but I believe that even though more people use PunBB and thus, it becomes a more tempting target for "hackers", the frequency is going down. A lot due to the introduction of Stefan Esser's unregister_globals(). Most of the really serious vulnerabilities in the past have been register_globals related.

Actually, what I did in that extension was to prefix <pun_announcement> with the quote box. Have a closer look at the str_replace and you'll see that it's there at the end.
