@Dr.Jeckyl -> It wasn't that big problem finding... eznuke.com and advantiscript.com was the one's I've seen. Guess there are others as well
@Connorhd -> lighttpd as in lighthttpd.com? Then it's nothing for me since I'm on a server with Apache already...

Because although i'm not the best hosts i'm not that bad, whereas other people would not "Look after" their customers very well.
Sorry, but I don't understand why that would be a problem to you or punBB. If a forumhost is bad customers leaves for other forumhosting (you..?) or start their own board. In worst case they stop using punBB, but I hardly believe they blame punBB, when it's the one providing the service that misbehaves.
The code for mypunbb now is extremely simple, it uses lighttpd and the mysql_vhost module, and simply loads the set of files needed for that forum (different forums can load different packages), the forum files are of course edited so that conflicts with the cache/avatars don't arise
Unfortunately I'm no great coder, but will search for lighttpd and mysql_vhost and see what I understand from it.
I understand you're more interested in keeping the code since it might become competition for you. I'll search elsewhere instead. Darn..
how difficult would it be to create something like mypunbb for a cms instead of a forum?
I've seen scripts for PHP-nuke out there. But personally I'd rather go with PostNuke or Mambo/Joomla. Will PM you if I stumbles over it again

Well, a peek at the code would be interesting, but I also understand your point of view...
How punBB would suffer from it I don't understand. Guess your punBB-hosting has made many interested in having their own setup, which I beleive is good for the community since more users (not always but) often improves the community by suggestions and different views on things...
But that's just my point of view...

I'd like to try this on the website for swedish air traffic controllers where each workplace can have their own board with their own local admin. If possible to run update on one set of files instead of 34, as an admin I'd be very happy Not sure if it will be in real use, but would be interested to test such a script.

Hrm... Just realized that it exists, but is it possible to use or one mans own script... Connorhd seems to have what I'm looking for, but in big scale

Sorry my mistake... What I'm looking for is a way to have multiple boards from one set of files where every boardadmin can maintain their own stuff. Guess same database and different prefix...or something like that.

Anyone knowing of a similiar script for using one install for multiple forums?
