Please do not repeditly post. Your post would be answered as soon as possible.

Php is a programing language, like HTML, however, you nees special software to render php documetns.

Just a thought, maybe you should seek help from someone who speaks your native language, seeing that they would be able to explain better then we can.

Either you need to have your own webserver, or find someone that would provide you one. Punbb.org does not host any other fourms besides this one.

I'm myself looking for something along the lines of this rather desperately because I'm in a position where I have been asked to create a forum where, if the public were able to post anything, I would be putting my job on the line.

It's not a case of "this person is being mean to someone", but it's a case of website links and similar.

Posted my reply so I can listen for replies also wink (and the subscribe link was further from my mouse pointer and i'm lazy).

Hmn. Maybe put something in the rules. At this type of situation, a Legal escape hatch is always good. Then again, nothing is fool proof.

Changing the template files is as easy as HTML editing. Actually, thats EXACTLY what it is. To change colors, take a look at the css files.

Bah, so got slackware installed, full install.
Set the httpd.conf file to the right perameters. I have mod_php, mod_sql. Added the "AddType application/x-httpd-php .php" to my httpd.conf file. Now, Im not sure if I have to do this, but when I type this command in terminal "$ php start". I get this: "Content-type: text/html
X-Powred-By: PHP/4.3.1

PHP Fatal error: Unkown(): Unable to start Unkown on line 0"

What does this mean?

Um, Ripped CDs, before the RIAA, I did do some downloading. But no more, I bought the same songs from iTunes to support the artists.

Can't forget the legend of Hendrix.

Bad link?

The only problem I see with this type of mod is that you are rendering a single ASCII character as a function. Implimentation of this will be harder then you might expect.

Guess I better start listing:

Queen,
Led Zeppelin,
U2,
Styx,
Bon Jovi,
Journy,
.38 Special,
Forigner,
Aerosmith,
Black Sabath,
Duran Duran,
Dire Stratis,
Steely Dan,
The Police.

Yeah, so as you can see, Im still stuck in the classic rock era...

I noticed something. Something about not able to fetch user info or something.

Permissions means read/write/execute. This sets the permissions of each file, so a file you don't anyone to be able to see, you will remove the permissions for "others". Changing permissions is also known as chmod. Right click the file, you should see something about permissions

Check permissions on config.php
