From what I can gather, the script believes it has sent the email, but I dont recieve it. Could it be a router or isp issue? I just tried after clearing iptables.

I cannot get my linux server to start sending script generated emails for things such as passwords for punbb. I looked at my log file, it says it tries to send it, but could not resolve address. Anyone have any ideas?

I've been playing around with an idea for a site, and I came up with this theme idea, based off the framefake idea/design on alex king's wordpress theme compition.

I was helping a friend reformat his computer using the Windows restor disk. I used my external Maxtor HD to back up his files. I forgot to disconect it when I booted from the cd, and I think I might have accidentaly deleted the partiton, but did not format the drive. Is there any way that I can re-partion it without loosing the data? If not, If I hook it up to a linux system, would it be able to read the unpartioned HD? I really need the information on the hd.

From what I can tell, It is possible to do this by using partition magic, which I do have. I just wanted to know if there is a remote chance it is possible.

If its not, can some one recomend a good data recovery software?

Actually, more often then not, most secuirty flaws in browsers are discovered by indipendant security firms working for the corporate world. If you think we are concerned about our safety, imagine what measures companies such as IBM go through.

Ever since I was forced to go from 98 se to me, I've started to despise IE. Sure, its more widely used, and your right Paul, as long as windows comes with IE, IE is going to be the number one browser. But its also important to note the impact that firefox has had on the internet community. Before firefox, there really wasen't anyone standing up to microsoft. At one point or another, microsoft forgot that it had to maintain its user base. This was capitilized by companies such as mozilla, and proved that users had a choice. Microsoft has been running damage control since then, although they never really lossed anything, being industry leaders, they were forced to show that they could not be out foxed by a open source company (pun intended).

I tried going back to IE, and I swear, since service pack 2, its the most annoying it has ever bin. I am so used to tabbed browsing, and my plugins, its hard for me to use a computer without firefox. How many users do you know that cannot function without IE?

It is true that firefox has its security flaws, but they are rarely exploited, as well as quickly made public and patched.

So what would cause a decrease in the number of new adopters?
If this author actually finished high school math, he would know that this is like an exponential population equation.

When this was new, there were more people that would download it and use. The more people that are using it, the less people there are in the world to START using it. Eventually, you will run out of people.

So are less people adopting to firefox? Yes. Should we be worried that microsoft will make a come back? (if you use firefox, how would you answer this question?)

Well, if you create and upload a .htaccess file to your server, and nothing happens as it is supposed to, then it is not at your end. It most probably the server configuration that needs tweaking. If you are with a good host, they should not give a problem with doing this. Talk to them and see what they say.

You would not be able to find the php.ini file, that is under the control of the server admin.

The biggest mistake anyone can make is that their system is secure. The only way your system is safe is when its unplugged, and put into a fire-proof safe.

As long as you are connected to the internet, people can get access. You can have all the firewalls in the world, all the anti-viruses in the world, but you cannot stop a determined malicous intended person.

Atleast users know there is a problem. Microsft has this habit of keeping everything hush hush.

Then the patches they release do not fix the problem, they just change the way the program works to account for the security risk. Hence the word patch.
