It looks like it works to me...
Edit: Nevermind....install a fresh copy of viewtopic.php over the one you have.

So, you want to add password-changing functionality to this new profile page you're creating?

Yes.

I'm not sure what's confusing me...I'm just confused haha.
I can't even find pun_hash...i've just been looking at profile.php and their change password code has all the punbb shortcuts tongue

Okay, and i'll be able to find how it's done in pun_hash function?

Edit: Looking at the PunBB code for this has confused me. If I wrote my own encryption code, would it screw up anything on PunBB?

You can't that I know of.
Talk to the people that run mypunbb and ask them to do it for you is the only suggestion I have.

Can some one help me out with this....i'm making a new profile section on my site...and this is confusing me cause i've never done anything with it before. :\
I just, would like some help with how I could get what is already there to work with my new page...
Thanks for any help I can get!

I've never heard of that...what are you talking about?

header.php is already included there.
Is what you want, a logo at the top of the page (where the text is at the top) ?
you could make like...header2.php (copy header.php)
and find the code where  it puts "PunBB.org Forums" or whatever your sites is....
and replace it with the image you want.
Then open index.php and change where it says header.php to header2.php
Then it should only affect the index page

Yes, i've added several fields that members of my website have recommended to me.
I've also, I think, made it look a LOT nicer than whatis currently on the PunBB profiles.

Okay, well, I think what i've got is looking pretty good so far....
If anyone wants to check it out and tell me what they think, I like hearing what other designers/coders have to say about stuff.
Thanks.

I'm going to make new profiles for my website (not trying to offend but I really dislike the way the current ones look)...so I was just looking for ideas for things to have in it, how to make it look..etc
Also, has anyone done something like this before, and do you have any recommendations when doing it? Thanks

Hey, this is just my thought on this whole thing.
Don't do it, and if you do, make sure people know that you're doing it.
I would want to know this, before registering at a website....that way I wouldn't register there.
I would recommend more of a "report" pm...

Do you think places like myspace, eharmony, etc and others, including ISP's cannot read your pm's or email?? Believe me they have access to these things if they choose too. If you read they're Terms or Use or (TOS) Terms or Service agreements, in fine print, they 'reserve the right' to aquire information they need to or about a user that relates on their site if they feel (it involves suspected criminal circumstances or activity). Which inturn supercedes a norm privacy policy on some of these sites.... So if they want to, they have right to for this reason. Just read the fine print on some of these sites sometime.

BTW, my Terms of Use Agreement & TOS, on my site, reads this way anyways, where I reserve the right if I see the need to if I am ordered by any law inforcement agency to do so about a user. And yes, every new member on my site has to by-pass my TOU & TOS anyways, which states this, so its not like they don't know after signing up.

But anyways, it would be good though to have a feature like this AP_PM-Monitoring.php thingy available (incase you see the need to use it).

Just my 2cents & Opinion...

I know those places have them, and that's why I keep anything I don't want people other than the person i'm talking to, to read, said elsewhere. Forums, are generally a safe place to talk...and features like this are not needed, nor should they be recommended.
Like I said, something along the lines of "report to admin/mod" would be much better. It would essentially do the same thing(while moreso keepign peoples privacy), and would not discourage others like me from visiting your site.

Fast & light of course. I don't have 300 different plugins that I don't want, and can't get rid of.
It's easy to customize, and the easiest to all aspects of your site into the forum, or aspects of the forum into your site.

What about just a shoutbox that uses punbbs users?

Edit: Nevermind, you said you didn't want one the way i was just thinking of having one...hahaha

I know all of this.
Working on 1.2 integration would be a bad idea.
I am going to have to redo the entire style sheet no matter what, and i'd rather not do it twice. I am also going to have to redo a lot of the code to integrate it with various parts of my site.
It's not your typical integration, and will probably take a long time to complete, so it's something I don't want to have to redo completely soon after i've done it the first time.

From looking at that, i'm glad to see that there doesn't appear to be any changes to the users (yet at least).

I'm in the process of redesigning my website, and i'm planning on changing some pages that relate to PunBB...I don't want to make these changes and have to redo everything because 1.3 comes out a week later. So, is there an estimated release date yet? I mean, shouldn't there be some idea as to when it'll be released? I've seen topics from 2005 asking this question.....and it's now 2007.
So, any guess at all? If not, what kind of changes will there be to the profiles?
Not to the profile page, but to the database.

That's what i'm talking about. I'm trying to set it up to do that. I'm using mod_rewrite to allow the urls to change and what I need to do is find the files that contain the links that are show so where example: viewtopic.php?id=4 is shown in the codes so I can change them to be like viewtopic_4.html
I can't find where that code is at though. :\

Okay, there are links all over a forum to various parts....but when I access files I can't find where those links are created...
I'm using mod_rewrite to allow them to be changed but I still need to modify the files for the changes to work without manually typing them in. So myquestion is what files are the links declared in so that I can modify them to get this to work.
thanks
