had to use phpBB, becuase my host, I could not figure out how to make the files writeable. Until i do I have to use phpBB then I'll switch to punBB, becuase I like it a lot better.

I don't think you can send private messages in PunBB. I don't beleive that feature is in Pun, but I'll post here in this thread once I get my forums up on my website (not the forums I'm working on) the development forums so we can talk more about our projects.
I do need someone to help get the forum working. And for those who help me get a basic version of my forum get a prize (and I'm sure you will like it a lot) 
I'll tell ya via PM on my forum once its up.

Is there a website out there that lists mostly, if not, all bulletin boards (forums) out there, kinda how distrowatch.com does with linux distros?
If there isn't a site, that'd be a good site to start up, to have a database of all known forums and there websites, links to download, ratings, etc...
Is there a site like this or somewhat like it?

In my persoanl oppinion, people overrate phpBB, yet its a good forum, but its not all its said to be. I like how PunBB is set up. I jsut hope the forum software I have been working on can someday be as good as PunBB. (though, I highly doubt it will lol)

Honestly, PunBB is far better than phpBB, becuase its so simple, yet can fullfil all my needs. Its truly a great forum and I love it!!! I esp., like how the tables are set up.

Well, PunBB is awesome. I am currently working on my own forum software. Having some errors with MySQL, but they will be sorted out shortly, although it won't compare to PunBB at all.

How long did it take you to code PunBB, becuase I like this forum a lot. It's different and that makes it pretty nice. But I what does "Pun" mean?
