This is just bad. This site http://www.handcellphone.com/techforum/ which is in a signature in this forum has removed the copyright and powered by PunBB information.

Alright. That is strange. I thought Richard said that you should at least leave the "Powered by PunBB" there, has that changed?

You have always been allowed to remove it, but we prefer if you leave it in there: http://punbb.org/docs/faq.html#faq4_2

The reason why you should leave it in there is because PunBB's main way of spreading it through word of mouth and the "Powered by" links. But you are not forced to leave it there by any law or license.

What you're not allowed to mess with are the GPL preambles in the files.
