edit: i think i know what you're referring to. you want to know what file specifically generates those "stats"? if so i don't know.

edit2: try footer.php

Those stats only show on the index page and that is where they are generated.

Around line 150 of index.php you see

// Collect some statistics from the database

From there down to about line 203 the stats are collected and displayed.

action: active (show most recently active topics) (HTML or RSS)
new (show newest topics) (HTML or RSS)
online (show users online) (HTML)
online_full (as above, but includes a full list) (HTML)
stats (show board statistics) (HTML)
