Experience integrating PunBB with jsp pages.

Could anyone share their experience doing this. 

I figure you would have iFrame 'd  the PunBB in your .jsp page and somehow accessed the usernames and avatar data from the java-side mySQL table.  any thoughts on whether this is possible and how to do it most gracefully.  Also, session expiration- was that a problem?
