Topic: PunBB Migration Tool question regarding administrator...

I was able to migrate our phpbb forum into punbb with no problems. The thing I noticed though, was that the admin account I set up no longer seems to exist.

I can't access the admin section anymore.

Any ideas?

ok... figured it out. We re-imported, making admins on selected accounts. That was easy!!!

in the database, change the group id of this account to 1

Hard. Have always wondered what to do in case some situation resultated in an erase of your admin account and it is the only one there is. Maybe there is a way to restore the database?

If that happened you'd probably either a) restore a recent database backup or b) register a new, normal member account and manually make it an administrator account through database editing software such as PHPMyAdmin.
