Was just wondering why PunBB was named that way.
What is the meaning behind Pun?

Could it be that PunBB is better then phpBB while faster and cleaner?

I really don't have an answer. I needed a short name and pun appeared under my finger in the dictionary (kinda). The BB part was added when I realized pun.org/com/whatever was already taken.

'Pun' in arabic pronounce mean (Cafe bean or JAVA)

I thought it was short form for PULCHRITUDINOUS!

PUN means FULL in Macedonian (slang)
Btw I am working on Macedonian Cyrillic Translation these days.

i thought punbb pun is 2 meanings like in a joke and its a copy (a second meaning) of phpbb (except much better, faster, etc, etc than phpbb)
