Topic: Eve-Online in-game browser compatible punbb

Would it be hard to mod punbb to be in-game compatible with Eve-Online.
I don't  have a list of what the browser support and don't support but it basically only support text. No CSS no nothing.

An in-game compatible forum is something I think every corporation in Eve-Online is after smile

Sounds cool :)

Doesn't it work okay without CSS, or is it a java-problem?

Re: Eve-Online in-game browser compatible punbb

I believe it only supports HTML 2.0. PunBB 1.2 should work fine. It has semantically correct markup and no nested tables etc etc.

I seem to recall that the latest version supports HTML 3.2.

Re: Eve-Online in-game browser compatible punbb

works...very slow loadup initially, but speeds up once you have cache. but, realize that's without any fancy mods or changes i'll be making to speed it up even more.

i have a few questions:
1) how do i delete the "announcements" section?
2) how do i delete the blather below the forums (the shalt nots and stuff)?

Re: Eve-Online in-game browser compatible punbb

You remove the announcement by simply disabling it in admin/options.

An error was encountered

Re: Eve-Online in-game browser compatible punbb

that's the first thing i did during the installation. disabled that sucker right off the bat. no joy. you plainly see it there. hmmmmmm...but after playing around for a while it looks like it finally went through.

as for the connections, it looks like that freesuperhost site is very unstable...maybe it was the reason for my above problem.

might have been that i didn't HAVE any announcement to disable? anyways, working now. thanks!

btw, how do i disable the lower portion as well? it just gets messed up ingame
