Topic: Getting new members?

I was just wondering how everyone gets new users? Where do you advertise, etc....? I personally just advertise on one site and get those freebies from google...

same here word of mouth and submit your site to search engine and also make sure that you meta tag helps search engine in exposing your site to user search

yes if its a public discussion, then we can do submission in search engine. if it is only for friends, you have to inform mouth of works, or email them simply with few lines intro. and if they found it interesting, they will do the same for you.
