Topic: Is the [code] tag badly broken?

I'm not sure why but I'm having a very hard time posting any code blocks on this forum, even something as simple as [ code ]this[/ code ].  I always get
? The BBCode syntax in the message is incorrect. Missing end tag for [ code ].
Am I doing something wrong?

Re: Is the [code] tag badly broken?

 what is going on?

It seems like it doesn't work if there is any text BEFORE the first {code} tag.

Re: Is the [code] tag badly broken?

but if the text is wrapped in quote tags

it's fine?

Re: Is the [code] tag badly broken?

I'm sorry, this seems to be the same bug Paul reported in a thread a few rows down.  But it seems to be fixed later in connor's post here...

Re: Is the [code] tag badly broken?

no, i've been looking at this

it doesn't work when, you have more than 4 characters and a line break, or any number of characters and 2 line breaks before the [ code]

it does work if you have no line break or 4 or less characters before the the [ code]

really odd bug

Re: Is the [code] tag badly broken?

I thought this bug was allready addressed with version 1.2.1 ?? If the problem is so Odd can it be that there is something wrong with the way PHP is doing the regexpress .  It could be a bug in PHP itself ?

Re: Is the [code] tag badly broken?

It's a bug that was introduced in 1.2.5. I'm on top of it.
