It all stemmed out of a little experiment I did to see if I could apply formatting to the "xxx wrote:".

Hey! I just noticed this: The Google Adsense ad in my screenshot was advertising phpBB installation, not PunBB installation, ON THE PunBB.org Forums! That's not fair! (Well, it's actually free speech.)

I think the parser just needs to be a little more careful when it comes to detecting end tags.
