Topic: Can't log into admin on a first time install

Hi,

After i have installed PunBB the first time and have logged in as administrator, I get the following error when trying to sign into the administrative area:


An error was encountered
File: /mnt/web_j/d00/s07/a000hlkg/www/mf/admin_index.php
Line: 96

PunBB reported: Unable to fetch online count

Database reported: Lost connection to MySQL server during query (Errno: 2013)

This error is a mystery. I've read about it occuring in other web apps as well, but I have yet to see a proper explanation of what happens.
