Topic: Caching on read-only webspace?

Hi,

I'm running a punbb on a sourceforge account, and recently sourceforge changed their policy to disallow write access from the webserver, therefore the config/ directory can't be updated by punbb.

Is this harmful somehow?

Not unlesss you want the server to change it.... smile
you will probably get annoying error messages when updating the admin options as well.

Hi
I have a sourceforge webspace too. Is it possible to install punbb on a read-only webspace now? Thanks

Re: Caching on read-only webspace?

Not with SQLite
And you'd have to disable avatars and you'd have to edit the files so that cache isn't used
