Topic: Converting phpBB->punBB ... phpBB prefix probs

Took the long route converting Snitz to phpBB to punBB.
Made it from Snitz to phpBB,
Yet upon using latest unified punBB converter,
I can't get the converter to find phpbb tables - even when I select from the help list of tables in database.
I'm entering phpbb_ as phpBB table prefix, but no go.
I'm able to examine and work with my mysql tables using MySQL-Front utility.
Don't know where I err.
Maybe snitz direct to PunBB would have been easier.

Am impressed by PunBB's lean, mean design and philosophy and am trying convert.

Re: Converting phpBB->punBB ... phpBB prefix probs

I have exactly the same problem! I decided to convert my forum to punBB, based on phpBB, but somehow the converter doesn't seem to 'see' the phpBB tables! Then it lists all the tables and there they are.

Any help will be much apreciated. Thanks.

Re: Converting phpBB->punBB ... phpBB prefix probs

And you chose the right database for it, the MySQL user for PunBB has permission on that database, etc?
Edit: I'm having issues as well, and this didn't happenlast time I used the convertor :-/

Maybe Chacmool, the author of the migration tool, should be reading this

Well, I found the cause for myself: I had an old CVS version of Olympus installed that I was trying to convert, thinking that it was 2.0.x tongue
