I want to convert for the same reasons people want to convert from VB/PHPBB/IPB to Punbb. Punbb doesn't allow me to email users, have sub boards, have attachments, have supermods among other things without modifiying pure files and installing addons.
Okay I got it working somewhat. I still can't create a table at the very top (sorta like how snowball did to IGN back in the day).

I thought I would save myserlf some time and just ask around here to see if anyone knew where I can get a forum converter that would convert my punbb database to another forum. I haven't been able to find any converters for any software and wanted to know if you guys knew of any? I'm not looking to leave this software, I just want to convert a database over.

Yes, but I can't find out where I can add topmargin/leftmargin so the bar goes from one end of the page to the other without any space between it.

I was just wondering how I would go about adding a table to the top of every page with a topmargin set to 0 and a leftmargin set to 0 as well. I'm trying to customize the forum a bit and need to know how to do this. Any help is appreciated.
As I've already stated I just finished converting my boards over to PunBB and I'm loving the software. But I've been getting a couple complaints from some of my memers (only a couple) that when they go to change styles they get the following error message.
Bad HTTP_REFERER. You were referred to this page from an unauthorized source. Please go back and try again. If the problem persists please make sure that 'Base URL' is correctly set in Admin/Options and that you are visiting the forum by navigating to that URL.
Now from what I've been told they get the error after clicking the submit button. I told them that I would look into the issue and I would resolve it as soon as I could. Does anyone know why this is happening and why its only happening to a couple users?

Yeah, I lost a lot of features moving over to punbb. Had to install private message mod, poll mod and a couple other modifications. I miss a few things like the ability to upload attachments, email members, sub-forums, reply only forums, and a couple other things. But I noticed I can regain a couple of them through some mods I've seen on here. I just hope 1.2 comes with a majority of these features by default.
Yeah, I need something like this as well. I was actually surprised to see that it wasn't already included, but I suppose you can only do so much at a time. Anyhow, nice to see its on its way.
Would there be anyway to sarrow it down to something specific? Cause I know the 'reply only' tab is there, it just doesn't update and stay checked, so would that be something a certain edit deals with? Anyhow, I'm going to look through all the edits again a little later when I get some time.
I'm a little concerned, I noticed that you allow people to upload ANY type of file when I skimmed through the readme, admins have the ability to just have images uploaded correct?
Any ideas? I really wanna get this mod installed since I would rather not have people post topics in my announcement board. Thanks!

I ran them, but I ran them before I made the edits to the php files. Also, I deleted them and readded them twice.
So would the attachment mod from Frank H work with the mods in my sig as well as the 'reply only' mod? Just wanna be sure that nothing is going to conflict with the installion.
I tried to install this mod and followed the directions. I can now see the 'reply only' tab within the forum admn area, but when I click the tab and hit submit I get direct back to that page just to find out that the 'reply only' tab I just clicked isn't clicked anymore. Any ideas why this would happen?

Ops, sorry the problem wasn't with the converter... apparently I had the table prefix wrong. Anyhow, I recommend this converter to anyone that needs to get away from VBulletin 3.
Yeah, I'm starting to slowly add modifications to it. I've already added a few things to my main page @ http://www.zerovision.net regarding some stats. I'll let you guys know whats up.
I decided to get away from the whole VBulletin craze and decided to go with PunBB. I still haven't had much time to customize the community just yet, but I did manage to convert my entire community from VB3 safely. Anyhow, be sure to check it out by clicking the link below.

Alright, I came across a problem. I uploaded all the files to the server and installed the mentioned addons successfully. I've provided the vb3 database name and table prefix, but for some reason when I go to proceed it says it can't find the database?
An error was encountered
PunBB reported: Unable to find database: my-database-name-here
Any ideas?
