When I've seen this in the past, it has been due to quickjump files becoming messed up (dunno how).
When you updated positions, you regenerated the cache wink

Zapped report: A report that has been marked by a moderator/administrator as dealt with
BBCode:

BBCode is a collection of formatting tags that are used to change the look of text in this forum. BBCode is based on the same principal as, and is very similar to, HTML. Below is a list of all the available BBCodes and instructions on how to use them.

Administrators have the ability to enable or disable BBCode. You can tell if BBCode is enabled or disabled out in the left margin whenever you post a message or edit your signature.

Moderators: Less permissions than administrators, have power to edit/delete posts from specific forums as determined by administrators, may have power to edit user info, etc
extern.php:

This script is used to include information about your board from
pages outside the forums and to syndicate news about recent
discussions via RSS. The script can display a list of recent
discussions (sorted by post time or last post time), a list of
active users or a collection of general board statistics. The
script can be called directly via an URL (for RSS), from a PHP
include command or through the use of Server Side Includes (SSI).

Atom, RSS, and plain XML are provided in 1.3 wink

Ok, I've looked around and from what I can see selling a Extension to Punbb would go against the GPL. Is this true?

Yes and no. You can sell your code for whatever price you feel like: however, you must distribute the source for it and anyone you distribute it to can redistribute it to anyone else for free. In general, it's not a good idea to try and sell GPL-ed code for that reason.

Also, if I created a few extensions (what I'm thinking of doing would be more of an addon than an extension of a current feature), and hosted the project, could I charge for the service?

For what service? You could certainly charge for helping people

It allows you to remove topics that have not been posted in within a certain number of days.

Again, you're missing the database modifications for a mod you previously installed wink

This has already been implemented in SVN for a while wink

Well, you need to apply whatever database modifications you made to the other forum

It looks like it's an SQLite issue, although I haven't found other references to it

Try deleting the .php files in the cache directory

The best way would probably be to go through a third party I'm afraid.

I've removed your topic. Accusations of "theft of copyright" should be made privately, not publicly. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an email.
In addition, please keep in mind that PunBB is simply forum software: how people choose to use that software is up to them. Unless people are distributing PunBB in a way that violates the GPL, it's not really an issue for the developers.

- Well yes, forbid posting. You can't put specific IP addresses intodifferent groups - otherwise that would be a solution. I simply don't see why a spamming user shouldn't be allowed to at least read the forums. If they can they won't feel as big need to get a new IP/user and start spamming again.

Fair enough: I wasn't thinking about non logged in users.
Of course, most non logged in spammers are spam bots and not real people

I'm a huge fan of punBB and have it running on a lot of sites.  The only frustration is when there is an update to punBB I've got to go through the upgrade process for every single forum.

I would look for a way to automate this on your end.

I actually had an idea: use the patch file.

- What would a ban do then? Simply for forbid posting? My take is that a ban is for removing people from the site: move the user into a "Troublesome Users" group if they need to lose posting permissions
- No matter how many forums you have, how often are you setting/unsetting people as moderator?

That's what I'm thinking, which is why a link would be helpful: then I (or someone else) can double check the headers sent with the cookie.
