The body? But the subject is there?
That sounds like a problem with the provider or with your setup. Can YOU get the emails properly?

I haven't had any problems installing that mod in the past: could you give me some examples?

2. I haven't ever noticed anything like that. A glance at the code doesn't turn up anything obvious. If you can find a way to replicate it at will then I can investigate more.
3. The problem is that blogging takes time and unless we feel inclined to blog, we'd rather code or relax
You're right though, we can certainly write up a bit more about the query builder, post moderation, developments to the upgrade script, etc.
4. I don't think we've planned that far yet. However, we'll probably either have categories for 1.3 and 1.2 or just keep what we have now and allow posts for either version.

sirena wrote:Have a look at a punBB forum like http://macthemes2.net/forum to see what good graphic designers might like to see in a design-oriented punBB forum...
Or not...
On this example: main header can't be resized, thread's name have a *very* low contrast to the point of being impossible to read with some sun, the whole page has so many ill used images that it loads in block, slowly, like we were still in 1995, they have attempted a grid effect but it's off.... and I could go on.
Good graphic designers are, first and foremost, good designers. And this is not it. It might be more graphic intensive that the minimalist one presented (which has also a truckloads of issues, don't get me wrong) but it's no more usable.
Or check out some of the other impressive punbb sites you can see in, for example:
I do agree with you on the number of images and the main header (actually, the entire page: it's really a fixed width site above all).
However, I'm just not seeing what's wrong with the grid (or the topic names, unless you're talking about closed topics)

Yes, we're considering ways to make the process better and one of those is more stringent guidelines for modifications/extensions.
Here's the poll mod to use:

The problem is that doing something like that takes a lot of time, which is something people don't seem to have a lot of
It is something we're considering for 1.3, since right now anything we did would be difficult to do retroactively.

That's not the same thing or you would get the same error message. Make a new topic, enable debug mode, paste the full error.

Yeah, it seems like the only way around that would be to add another wrapping div right after the .pun div.

Just to be clear, he said it's an argument in favor of templates, not that 1.3 will necessarily have templates (meaning "real" templates, not the tpl files we have now).

I was trying out FeedDemon yesterday, and I have a quick question. Is there a way to tell it to mark an item as unread if the item updates (eg: the pubDate changes)?

Neither have I, but I would assume that even if they can skip, having to skip so many times would be annoying
That's not to say it isn't a useful feature, I'm just not certain how "nice" it is in terms of accessibility.

I've managed to avoid setting up an RSS reader for this long. However, it seems to me that when I'm refreshing PunBB every minute or so, I'd be better off setting up an RSS reader and having it alert me when there's a new post.
Does anyone have any suggestions for RSS readers that they like, especially ones that can pop up, say, a tooltp when there's a new entry in a feed? I think that would be best, then I can be easily distracted by the tooltip rather than by a full Firefox window with a couple tabs
