in the admin options there is an option to change the redirect time. change it to 0.

PunBB doesn't have a view single post function but each post does have it's own "link". click the date and time directly above your username in each post. it acts like an anchor.

paste it into something like Dreamweaver in DESIGN mode, edit if you need to, then switch to CODE mode then copy everything between the <body> </body> tags.
