Update to version Fancy_stop_spam 1.2.2 - we test it here and have good results. Version 1.2 can check spam bots by IP, not only emails.
If you still have bots registration - please, send me bots email and ip.

Its nice idea, but i think that adding API key in forum settings is danger, may be result too many false-positive data will be submited from bad admins. May be better is adding API key as hidden options f.e. define in config.php for admin who realy understand how it works.

After upgrade from any version to 1.2 be sure to check that options Check IP by StopForumSpam is turned on.

Its not error.
It changed in 1.4 for adding menu elements by simple adding entries in $visit_elements array or $visit_links array. In 1.4 extensions must extend $visit_links or $visit_elements arrays for adding new elements.

added checking in profile any user after registration by StopForumSpam.
now can working without json_encode functions in PHP < 5.2

Try to register with email bds5r3mizi@yahoo.com - if you have installed Fancy_stop_spam and Check email options turned on - you can not register.
Check by IP settings will be released tomorrow.

Fast way to check outdated extensions
If you have text like on image at left (Currently installed 4 official extensions.) - you are have installed a few extensions from old 1.3 version. Extensions in PunBB 1.4 don't add this text to footer. Check and update this extensions.

Latest 3 is real spammers and detected fancy_stop_spam - at least 4 detected by version 1, and 3 and 4 detected by test version 1.1 (will be released soon). Why you think that 1 and 2 is spamers or bots?

Every theme may have own template - just put in theme dir file main.tpl or admin.tpl or help.tpl.
