Another way is this extension to allow editing for the specified time even when from the board settings that has been forbidden.

For me that would be better. Once I've verified that a user is unique and a valued member I moved them to a new usergroup so they can access more sensitive/sensible forums. That would work for me very well yes

A good rule could be:
"you can't thank any posts until you have x thanks OR x posts first"
This would prevent people creating new accounts just to vote for themself.

OH NO!!!
I want users to only be able to edit their own posts until there's been a reply or X minutes has passed. And thats it. Once either of those 2 things happen, the user should NEVER be allowed to edit that post again.
I don't think this new release helps achieve this does it?

I agree the styling of 1.3 is pretty poor in terms of spacing and sizing but I lack the skill to tackle such a huge amount of code without breaking something.
