This is what I was looking for, because the other mod did not work for me. So thanks a lot!!!
But I can't get it to work in search.php, when users choose "recent posts" of "posts since last visit".
When i use the second part of the code, the cell stays blank: no author is shown in the search results. Any suggestions?
Probably this question is asked before, but I can't find the answer on this forum or on punres.
I used this mod: http://www.punres.org/viewtopic.php?id=828 to put the author in a seperate column in viewforum.php. But I can't manage to do the same in the search-results, when users use Show new posts since last visit or Show recent posts.
Does someone know how to change this? Or did I overlook a mod?
Is there a big "i feel very stupid" smiley?
Once again I read the topics here in troubleshooting, and once again I looked to the options on my board... And I don't know how I managed to overlook it, but there was the old url of the old forum......

Well, i'm trýing not to give up...
I get the bad request (Bad HTTP Referer - just changed the language to EN so i can explain things better) when i:
- want to delete a single post by clicking the linkin "view forum"
- use the 'delete multiple post' link and try to remove one (or more) post
- use the link 'moderate forum' and try to delete a topic
And i just found out i can't close a topic... same message.
The only thing that dìd work, was moving posts to another topic in another forum, but I removed the mod for troubleshooting.
I can't move complete topics using the moderate forum link; i can select the new forum, but when i click move, it says "bad referrer". I do disable my firewall, because that's how it used to work.
Yes, I removed the mod, but it still doesn't work, i can't move or delete any topics or posts.
Is it possible it has something to do with moving to another host?
Suddenly, I can't delete a thing on my forum. The problem is, I can't remember when it appeared for the first time, but I guess it is when I moved my forum to another host.
Because I didn't manage to backup my forum database and put it back at the new host, I transported my database table by table (don't ask why, it was the only way i could save my forums and topics). After that, I used the Splittopic-mod.
I can split topics and create new topics with existing posts, but I can't move topics or posts, nor can I delete posts or topics. I can't create new forums either.
Each time I get "bad-request". Disabling my firewall doesn't work. My old forum is still at the old host, wìth Split-topic-mod, and works fine :s
Anyone an idea??
It does when you use a no-ip domain-name as web-redirect and you want to see that url in the adress-bar instead of the original url.
My forum is hosted on a different host as the rest of my site so i wanted to use a dot.tk of a no-ip domain name, but that's not possible (yet).
I changed the templates and put the forum, my site-header and site-menu in a table so i don't need to know how to put the forum in a frame or iframe anymore
But there's one thing i wish was posible: to use a dot.tk or a no-ip.net domain-name. But because that goes with frames, i guess that is not possible?
Not with the forum in a frame or iframe. Because nobody can login, i removed it and put my "old" guestbook back in the original frame. I did not finish the page with iframe, just tested it on my local server and found out that wasn't working either.
This evening when i finally finished my forum, i found out punBB does not work well in combinations with frames and IE6. Searching this forum, i found several solutions but i can't get it to work.
One suggestion is to try out different values for cookie_domain in the config.php.
What kind of values are these?
Another one is using an iframe, but i still can't login when i use an iframe. What am i doing wrong?? Can somebody explain it to me?
