Elliot,

If your download is complete and you're done sharing it, then yes, you can delete the piece_part file.

Here's an explanation of the feature: http://blog.bitcomet.com/bitcomet/post_1066/

On a sidenote, in your signature you can wrap a

around the url to your site.

Neal,

The link to .net was constructively intentional.

Connor,

Ok, I give up, since SoftDeluxe will not give in to my requests, I'll move to FluxBB then.

Connor,

As long as this forum is up and I'm not banned, I'll keep asking wtf happened.

I'll also have feature requests, ideas to share and comments to make.

That's just the way I am, for better or worse.

I know the domain was changed to help promote informer.com, both the software and feed subdomains to be exact. What I find funny is that PunBB is not used in either subdomain, why I wonder?

As for the software subdomain, have a look at File Hippo to see how a clean interface can be used to attract users. I go there everyday to see the latest updated apps, which is something I don't see at software.informer.com.

It's a shame the owners didn't engage the community with it's ideas first before making the switch. You could of had an army of promoters, instead you have an army of disgruntled forum admins.

Sorry if I continue to hark on this, it's just such a stupid freaking move.

What version are you running, 1.3 beta or 1.3 rc?

Just asking, cause it's getting quite confusing to answer questions.

Hi,

Look in /include/template/main.tpl

The forum you link to did this:

<div id="brdtitle" class="inbox">
            <pun_title>
            <p><span><center><img src='http://www.pokeplushies.com/forum/img/sibirsky_org/logo.jpg'></center></span></p>
</div>

Matt,

There may be extensions that would be a good fit here, like a PM extension let's say. But a karma extension feels out of place for sure. So a demo forum would be a better place to showcase all the stuff.

Yes, I know that your extension removes the line. I was just wondering what the reasoning behind the extensions used line was for.

I think rather than have it in the footer, it would be better suited to a page where access to it can be controlled, rather than removed altogether. Like so: http://punbb.informer.com/extensions/ - which I know is a special page made by the PunBB team, but I hope you get the idea.

Hi,

All talk about PunBB is being held in this forum since we're now running a 1.3 release candidate.

When do we start using the other forums?

Hi,

Can we have the Recent posts link, that is available in the Search tab, placed next to New Posts on the top right.

Thanks.

I noticed this in every extension:

echo '<p id="extensions-used">Currently used extensions: '.implode(', ', $pun_extensions_used).'. Copyright &copy; 2008 <a href="http://punbb.informer.com/">PunBB</a></p>';

May I ask what was the reasoning for this?

I would suggest on going back to phpbb2, if at all possible, then using the migration tool that's available.

There is no phpbb3 to punbb1.2 migration tool that I know of.

Thanks for putting up a list.

One suggestion, I believe there should be an extension forum dedicated to extension introductions and support. Mixing extension and core support may prove a bit confusing over time. When introducing an extension, you could have a brief explanation of what it does and a screen shot of it in action if at all possible.

Yes, what extension is this?

Could you place a sticky in this forum or somewhere, listing all the extension in use on this forum.

I'm starting to see strange behavior and rather than report it as a core bug, I'm pretty sure it's an extension issue.

Thanks.

Yes, you are right.

I think once 1.3 becomes stable, both projects will start to diverge. I for one would like to see a stable PunBB 1.3 hit the streets, I've been waiting for it for awhile now.

It's a lot faster, especially on heavy javascript sites like Gmail.

Also, the memory usage is much better, it cleans up after itself.

But sadly, this forum loads so slow wink

Ok, that's why the dates changed, a new repository checkin would do that.
