A tar.gz is 262 KB (269,209 bytes), pretty good compression.

Gunzip works fine, but the tar's keep more info, like permissions, etc.

Anatoly,

Is there a reason all the file dates are 6/17/2008?

Makes doing a comparison against the PunBB SVN a bit harder, not to mention updating an already running board, cause the dates are all different from the previous beta.

Thanks for the release.

Good idea, cause the InterTubes are clogged up today wink

I missed my TV, thanks.

Avatars are not working, permission issues?

What version of SVN is this running on?

Yeah, I'll go download it when it becomes official, just thought I'd give people a head start on things.

What a coincidence, with Firefox 3 coming out in a few hours.

Nevertheless, what is the real problem?

The lack of communication, from day one of the takeover.

Who is ignoring you?

This forum is lacking official answers to user's questions, if it wasn't for a handful of us, you'd hear crickets.

And what should be done for you?

Let us know what is going on.

Thanks.

I don't have a problem, do you?

I don't think anyone involved has done anything with any malintent, the most damaging posts are from you, not anyone involved in either FluxBB or PunBB.

I am involved in PunBB, I'm a long time community member. Remember the community Connor, those of us that use PunBB, that recommend it to our friends, that create templates, addons and mods? Well, the current owners of PunBB are ignoring us, that's what I was commenting on.

What version of PunBB are you running?

Look in: /include/template/main.tpl

Hi,

You'll have to modify extern.php:

1. For page 1, 2, etc - got an example?

2. Line 229, remove .$url_action

Here you go: http://wiki.punres.org/Change_forum_width

On what version of SVN will this work on?

PunBB is six feet under.

Sadly, I think you're right.

All the work we did to make PunBB, the name, a trusted forum script, is lost. I understand the code base lives on in a fork, but if the name PunBB dies off, the code base runs the risk of following suit. When Joomla! forked, Mambo stayed afloat. Had Mambo caved in completely immediately, I think many people would of vacated the premises and moved on to other systems.

Come to think of it, maybe that's the plan, to let it all die.

Looks like the French forum is back, was it hacked or was it hijacked?

Sacre Bleu!

You can migrate to PunBB 1.2.17, then go to 1.3 stable when it's ready.

I wouldn't run a production forum on 1.3 yet, but you can play with it on a local test machine to get acquainted.

Try this - http://punbb.informer.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=17187

In PunBB 1.2.17, comment out lines 984 & 985:

<dt><?php echo $lang_profile['Website'] ?>: </dt>
<dd><?php echo $url ?> </dd>
