I post here because I have PunBB 1.3.2 and I try Abir's extension, made for 1.4.

Don't try this extension it blocks your website ver 1.3 !!

OK I copied pasted define('FORUM_DISABLE_HOOKS', 1); on config.php and logically I've lost all my extensions nd my hooks, but at least my website works...

I would like to supress all the effects of this extension.

Where should I go, be it on source code files or in database, to erase all the effects of this extension ?

Then I will be able to get my extensions back, and my website back to normalty.

Can the developer of this extension tells where this extension make changes and tell how to erase it ?

I went in the database, and I I didn't fin at all what this extension changed, be it on config table, on anycode_hook table, or on extension_hook table.

Can anyone tell me where this extension made change on my website and where I can change this so that I can erase all the changes and get back to previous situation ?

I opened config.php and copy paste //define('FORUM_DISABLE_HOOKS', 1);

It changes nothing...

What I don't understand is that I re-uploaded the directory without the changes made by this extension but it changed nothing !!! Usually, when I make a mistale and reupload previous version from local folder, it get back to previous situation.

Here, it changes nothing !! What has been changed by this extension on my website ???

Oh my god it's panic here !!!

I don't want to change my version, I just want to have my websoite back to it original situation !!!

I can't uninstall this extension because I can't access to the admin board. I have erased this extension (both folder and in database but it changes nothing, I still have this message !!

I have another idea/question : do you think it would be possible to make an URL rewriting at the level of POSTS (not only on topic and forum) with th ID of the post replaced by a small POST URL that would replace the current "http://punbb.informer.com/forums/post/132999/#p132999" URL of posts --> This URL would be 7 first word of the post for instance (or another rule if there could be some better SEO solution - such as enabling people to give a title to their posts).

What you think about that ? Is it technically possible ?

Hello,

After an analysis of Google bot fetching, on Google webmaster tools, I've understood that structuration of topic pages are very NOT SEO at all : indeed, we have the keyword "post", "forum", "registered", member", "guest", "reply" as "most common keywords". First bad point.

Secondly, if you watch how pages are seen by Googlebots, you understand that titles H2 are used for words "post, and H3 for the name of posters, instead of forusing on the content, the code is "code oriented", and not "content oriented"

H1 (title) is OK, and titles of topics are well referenced, but content of discussions is very badly SEO structured, the content is not SEO highlighted. It is quite normal as PunBB have been developed slightly before the huge success of Google. But todey, it is a problem.

Last thing, URL rewriting has recently been made on my website (with 301 redirection and (regular) resubmitting of sitemap), and the results are quite horrific : PR getting down, well ranked pages in google getting down, new visitors daily diminishing.

Does anyone has an idea of how counter-thwarting this ?

Hello,

As you have seen, I often suggest extensions on PunBB forum. As I'm not a technician, but an editor redactor, I don't know how to program in PHP, and I have different activities that bar me from having the time to learn it (and it is not my job !).

But I manage a quite popular french forum in PunBB for 3 years now, with an important and dynamic community talking over many issues, ranging from politics, economics or financial issues to student help and advice for university orientation.

I have many ideas to improve my forum, and I'm sure that these ideas coulb be later useful for all the PunBB community.

So I'm seraching for 1 or more programmers to work on my forum to improve it, and I'm ready to pay for each mission. These missions could be simply to fix some bugs, or to create new functionnalities for which I have an idea, or to do some PHP on particular issues.

So if you are interested, do not hesitate to mail me.

Hello there,

I'm trying to instert a central top panel with the former "index.php" page (list of categories and forums).

It doesn't work of course.

It says :

"Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/www/c23ee494339f4673173c93ff37a3a87a/web/forum-scpo/extensions/portal_by_daris/panels.php(51) : eval()'d code on line 297"

Does someone has an idea on how to do this ?

Hi all,

I'm asking myself if oit doesn't exists on PunBB (I don't think so) but do you think an extension could enable users to post HTML things on their posts (apart from script of course) ?

That would be great for posters who may insert special features in their messages.

This would enable anybody to post graphically improved messages directly on a punBB forum !

If you can insert a text/img box, and put it anywhere on the post form, then you can do anything you can do on a word or power point software !
