Well, I guess I will throw in my two cents here.
I have tested numerous image galleries. Most of them are pure refuse! I agree with Rod that you should not have to visit a new page for every single pic and then have to go back to find the stupid thumbnails.
I use one Image Gallery because it offers the best presentation I have found. Its not perfect but its very good. If you hate Flash, you won't like this gallery script. One of the best features of the gallery is that it uses XML to pull in images and descriptions. Navigation of thumbnails is elegant.

I missed it! The site is down...
Thanks for focusing on security. I plan on using Pun on a future site where security will be very important. I'm glad to know that it is a priority. Keep up the excellent work!
I'm not a big fan of Microsoft. Nor am I one that wants spyware, adware, and other junk clogging up my processor. In one of the latest Microsoft updates there is a tool provided called the 'Malicious Software Removal Tool'. From my present understanding, this tool will invisibly communicate results of 'malicious software' on our computers back to Microsoft without our knowledge of each instance. We are made aware when installing the tool with a license agreement that probably most people will never read. However, I prefer to not let my computer randomly talk to the boys in Redmond whenever it wants to, but at the same time I don't mind having this tool on my computer to take care of malicious software. So I found the directions from M$ to disable the reporting function from within the registry.
You can find the directions to disable on this page.

This is what needs to be added to the registry copied from the link above.
An administrator can choose to disable the infection reporting component of the tool by adding the following registry key value to computers. If this registry key value is set, the tool will not report infection information back to Microsoft.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\MRT\DontReportInfectionInformation with the value of "1". Note that this value should be of type REG_DWORD.
Just thought a note on this might be of interest to some of my friends here at PunBB.
Thanks again to everyone in this community. In many ways I feel like were on the cutting edge of the forums available on the web. This software is simply beautiful. The code is clean, the css is clean, its rocket fast, and..... oh.... no.... tears are coming to my eyes....
Hey wait.... you can't go to sleep! You need to start working on 1.3!
Just kidding. Get some rest mate, you deserve it. Drink an ice cold Guinness while your at it!
Hey.... its released! I just downloaded it from the download section yet no news on the front page? ITS RELEASED!!! Sorry, cant curb my enthusiasm!
1.2 is released!!
The website is beautiful! Man, I just love this community more and more every day! 1.2 hits soon! Whoah! Gotta love it!
Wow, this is insane. Death toll is now at 44,000 and climbing fast!
Death toll is now over 25,000 and they say it is likely to soar much higher! Another statistic that is shocking is that this has left millions homeless! What really gets you is that many of those people were poor already with very low incomes and humble dwellings. Now what little they did have is all but gone. It's hard to imagine how tough it is over there right now.
It's not free but its very good.
PHPEdit
Only for Windows
I like PunBB because it is simple, clean, and fast. There are plenty of heavyweight forums out there for one to choose from if they like big and bloated software.
I like Invision in the heavyweight forum category.
However, my preference is to stick with Pun for my own stuff. It's like a breath of fresh air!
Have any of you upgraded to Firefox 1.0? Its awesome!
I just upgraded. I'm in browser heaven!
The upgrade is painless... remembers all your settings. Just install and go. Super easy!
Well, I generally like to wait so I can see it in all its final release glory but.... maybe I can make an exception.... this time just for Pun.

On my sites, IE browser share has been dropping for the last few months.
September:
MS Internet Explorer 67.9 %
FireFox 17.5 %
Once IE is below 50%, I'm not going to care about testing my sites in IE.
My favorite line from Star Wars comes to mind...
"The more you tighten your grip, Tarkin, the more star systems will slip through your fingers"

Oh... duh.... I guess I have to!
Well, I love Firefox. However, I also hate almost everything that comes from M$. So if Google can bring more competition to the table for M$ to worry about... the more power to them.
I'm sick of M$ controlling the computer universe... its time to see some other major players have a say..... and then a real environment of innovation will exist.
I will be a Firefox user for a long time no matter who makes what.... its hard to improve upon perfection (yeah... maybe a bit too melodramatic.... but you just gotta love Firefox!)
hcgtv wrote:I haven't used Sage, but I'll give it a try.
I did try the RSS capabilties built into Firefox 1.0PR. It uses the bookmarks interface to store favorite feeds. I placed a feed folder on my bookmarks toolbar and with a click, I can see my feeds.
Yes, I tried that too... but did not use it much. When I tried out Sage I realized that this was a great way to do RSS. Very simple interface and intuitive.
snapsolutions wrote:firefox users, you should really try this extension here. I guarantee you that you gonna love it! I am using it for the last 2+ months and I really love it.
Well, I have to agree with you snapsolutions... Sage is an awesome extension for Firefox. I just installed it today after reading your recommendation and I must say I think it is my favorite plug-in for Firefox so far.
I have not much cared for RSS till now... but the way SAGE incorporates itself into the browser... I was really impressed. It is very usable too. I went into my tool bar customizations and added my Sage shortcut to the rest of my tools.... now with a quick click I can subscribe to RSS feeds! Thanks for the suggestion!

Paul wrote:Works perfectly on XP regardless of the colours. Everything just adjusts for appropriate colours given the background and text colour.
The only exception is if you use the WinXP "Classic" theme which is the Win2000 clone but I don't think anybody uses that.
I use the Win2K Classic theme on all my computers and I know several others that do too. I hate the fluffiness of XP....
I don't have any problems with Firefox using the old Win2K themes and the default Firefox theme.

You can send your GMail invitations to one of the Firefox promotions called 'The GMail Project' at this link.
