AHA! Nu förstår jag. Du har döpt databasen till ett namn som innehåller bindestreck. Det gillade min kod inte. Byt ut raden till det här:

Hmm, det var konstigt. Leta upp följande rad i admin_index.php:

Ovanför den klistra in:
dump('SHOW TABLE STATUS FROM '.$db_name);
Klistra sen in vad som skrivs ut här i tråden.
That usually means that the user running your webserver (usually nobody) isn't allowed to write files in the avatar directory. The webserver user must have write access to the avatar directory.
Kan du slå på debug (överst i include/common.php) och prova igen? Det kommer inte funka då heller, men vi kommer få ett vettigare felmeddelande.
Ah, of course! Now I know why.
Finally PunBB has reached what should be considered a stable state. Changes since Release Candidate 2 are mostly bugfixes and tweaks. Some of the larger and more important changes are:
- Moderators are no longer allowed to change the password for other moderators and administrators.
- Removed the underscore character from all CSS identifiers in the styles. See the update docs (docs/install.html) for more info on this.
- Added the ability to search in "Topic subject only".
- Changed the behaviour of "Show images". Avatars are now displayed even if the option is disabled.
- Fixed "Rebuild search index" not indexing topic subjects.
- Fixed logout and "Mark all forums as read" not working in Opera.
There have been no changes to the database structure other than the change of a few default values. Running the update script (extra/10_rc2_to_10_update.php) is still required though.

I'm happy you sorted it out. How you could have ended up with more than one Guest account, however, is beyond me.

Edit2: Horror: I get bad request if I try to click on profile.
Edit3: I found the reason now, My account doesnt sseem to be in the userlist. But I can log in and out without problems. This is freaky.
Edit4: Maybe changign my users id from 1 to 2 could solve the problem. 2 is unused. But I'm still wondering why the version is wrong.

Hmm, you lost an avatar? That's weird. It shouldn't happen.
When you upgrade by unpacking the new archive on top of your old installation you will potentially lose:
- modifications to the default styles.
- modifications to the template files.
All other files, posts and settings will remain. So, if you want to be on the safe side, make backups of your styles and template files before you upgrade.
As far as I can see, you haven't modified your template files or any of the default styles in any way, so that won't be a problem. What you will have to do though, is to update the style "sc02" so that it will work with 1.0. I took the liberty of doing that for you:

Det här problemet dök upp väldigt passande. Jag ändrade nämligen lite på just den koden igår, så forumet ger lite mer informativa felmeddelanden när det inte kan connecta till MySQL. Ladda hem 1.0 en gång till och prova igen. Då kommer vi iaf få lite mer insikt i vad det är som inte funkar.

I searched around a bit and you don't seem to be the only one having problems installing stuff like message boards on lycos/tripod. Are you absolutely sure you have filled in the correct information?

Hmm, I'm guessing that's a result of the "four character problem". You probably submitted the options form in the admin interface and then "Default style" got screwed up. Could you check what CSS file the forum is trying to load when you are logged out? If I were to guess I'd say it's trying to load style/en.css instead of style/Oxygen.css or something like that. If that is the case you will have to edit the field manually in the database.
