My favourite is the man who phoned to complain that his PC's cup holder had broken (think about it).

Then wait until the final is released because anything you do now will be a waste of time.

Re: Remove underlines in links everywhere? (9 replies, posted in PunBB 1.2 troubleshooting)
If you are just using the styles that came with PunBB 1.1.5 or earlier then you will have to edit each of the five stylesheets.

Find the biggest forum you can think of and then look at how many users are online at the same time.

If you want to test the layout in IE without all those long error messages getting in the way try DIV.box {OVERFLOW: hidden} which hopefully should chop them off.

I have to admit, I'm a big fan of Topstyle Pro. The output from the preview is far more accurante than DW and the stuff thats supposed to improve productivity really does.

Re: Free PHP/HTML editor (99 replies, posted in Programming)
Why bother, you can knock out a perfectly good web page in the time it takes DW to load.

Re: (advanced?) cutting of subject names to fit a certain table width (1 replies, posted in Programming)
PunBB 1.2 works like that automatically with messages and could be made to crop subjects as well. It is trickier for PunBB 1.1.5 because tables have trouble with overflow:hidden but I will give it some thought.
The answer generally is to put the subject in a div then in the stylesheet give it a fixed width and set overflow to hidden.

Were you entering the meta tag stuff in Russian. Maybe that makes a difference. All I see when I view you meta tags as source is a bunch of nonesense characters.
Your tags do not appear to be closed properly either.

Me neither but I'm checking anyway.
EDIT:
As expected, I couldn't reproduce the problem.

Re: Fix forum width (5 replies, posted in PunBB 1.2 troubleshooting)
Try adding this to your stylesheet
TEXTAREA {WIDTH: 400px} adjusting the width to suit.
If that doesn't work then you will have to adjust the cols= settings for the textareas in viewtopic.php, post.php and edit.php.

A visual way of placing your logo?
Maybe he means using DW or some other WYSIAWYG app.

I don't think there is a copy on public view but that is the only change which is relevant to what you are doing.

Re: New message indicators (35 replies, posted in Feature requests)
Viewtopic has changed since your version of the beta. the <a href> has gone with the id being put on the containing div for the post. The id now has a "p" in front of it for obvious reasons so post id's are now
<div id="p8" class="blockpost roweven">
That should make life easier I would have thought.

Re: New message indicators (35 replies, posted in Feature requests)
PunBB 1.2 doesn't use graphics for new posts. There is a div which provides the new post indicator. If there are new posts it has class="inew" otherwise it is class="inormal". Could you adapt your idea just to switch the classes?
BTW: I think I came up with something similar many moons ago, I will try to find it.
EDIT:
Here it is, not the same as your idea but similar thought process at work.

Sorry, still glitched.. I still have this appearing after total reinstall of Firefox, and yes, I hunted down all associated folders in Documents and Settings/Application Data etc. as well as in the program setup folder. It's undoubtedly my local system . . .
The css for forms has also been altered slightly since the beta was released .... so consider it fixed

Re: PunBB 1.2 Beta (254 replies, posted in PunBB 1.2 discussion)
andor: Thanks for the report. Since Firefox 1.0 has been released any versions prior to that are not supported on the basis they were just beta's. The css for forms has also been altered slightly since the beta was released and I can't duplicate the error with Firefox 1.0 so consider it fixed.

Richie: Are you in a desperate hurry. The reason I ask is I'm looking to do some testing to iron out site integration problems. Could you email me a copy of your main.tpl and the original site template you are working from?
