I couldn't have done it without PunBB. Hoenestly I am so thankful for PunBB's ease of use, especially when it comes to styles. I don't even want to tell you how frustarted I became trying to make phpBB and Invision PB look even remotely like an integrated part of my website. In fact I couldn't do it at all. EVen installing pre-made styles is a chore with those...
Someone else posted that they would like to have :"forums withing forums". I don't know how that could work, but I do know of something I would like to see.
As it stands, punbb has a main listing which has categopries, and forum listings.
It would be very nice if the category headings were clickable, and linked to an index of the forums in that category only.
This would enable me to host forums for a number of websites, but avoid visitors being hit with a list of off topic forums in addition to the ones they wanted to visit.
it would be nice if there was an entry for msn messanger along with ICQ, Yahoo and such.
Heck, why not even a field for a users mobile phone email?
I don't really want to have people using my bandwidth for their avatars. it would be great if they could use remotelty hosted files.
On the flip side it would also be nice to be able to include a selection of default avatars for those who dont care to find/create their own...

I run several websites with varying themes. I want each to have it's own set of boards, rather than one set wiht categories for each site, so that each can have its own style as well as its own identity.
However, I think it would be great if they could share a database so that users regsitered for one forum would be registered for the others as well.
Is this possible? Is it a bad idea?
wow. finally found a stable, easy too use bb that has all the features i need, and doesnt require a phd to skin and customize!
