Re: PunBB 1.2 (142 replies, posted in News)
I don't think you completly understood me. When you are viewing the plugin paramaters through Punn admin panel, it states what forum, what catagory, and target file. Say I want to make a couple of these types of news files, it seems (and is) very tedious to change the parameters from the php file. It would be a whole lot more convienent if you could change it from Punbb admin panel.
About the database, I don't see how this effects that.

One small request:
Is it possible to make the feilds editable, instead of going into the php file it self?

Customer: The computer is not turning on.
Support: Is it plugged into the wall?
Customer: Yes
Support: The wire running from the wall outlet to your computer, is that connected to the back of the computer?
Customer: I don't know.
Support: The problem could lie there, were going to have to check, so if you can, talk a look behind.
Customer: Hold on, let me get a candle, the lights are out.
Friend: I can't get onto aol.
Me: Did you check your user name, and password?
Friend: No, it dosen't even make that cool booting sound.
Me: Alright, I'll be over soon.
-Later-
Me: Listen, you can not connect to the internet unless you have your modem plugged into the wall.
Friend: Then whats the point of a laptop?

If I had the time, patience, and skill, I would develope a cms based on punbb. It would just call the news functions from the db. You could even have a gallery.

No offence or anything, but current cms's suck. Thet either have all the bells and whistles, but don't work efficently, or they work well, but are really simple.

If I'm not mistaken, OSX runs off of a unix back bone, so...
Best thing to do is put the phpmyadmin folder in your web folder, configure the config settings (password, host, mysql location), and just troubleshoot the rest. it "should" work...

Found something else, when you make a new catagory, the forums "tab" or section shows that there are blank forums there, but when you click edit, it says its an invalid link.

Not sure if previously posted or not, but when its a bad http refer, it only says Info, then the admin email. Only occures when changing arround options.

Re: Estimate until 1.2? :) (30 replies, posted in PunBB 1.2 discussion)
Is there any major change in the database between 1.2 beta and 1.2? If not, then technicaly, you could use 1.2 beta as a setup, and as soon as 1.2 is officaly released, just update and upgrade.

Well, all done, went out and bought the Ex-Z40. 299, nice price if you ask me. It was a tough choice between a Nikon, Canon, and Casio, but I liked the form factor of this better.

Topic: In the market for a slim, compact digital camera (4 replies, posted in General discussion)
I have a decent 5 megapixel camera, a Sony (the exact barcode escapes me as of now), and looking for something I can keep in my pocket and take quick fotos of something. Almost like an all purpose camera.
After much searching and debating, I have decided to go with a Casio Exilim. Now my only problem is which model number should I choose.
I am leaning towards the EX-S100, however the EX-Z30 is about the same, only 50 bucks cheaper and .2 inches thicker.
If anyone has any Exilim, please give feedback.
Also, if you have an ultracompact camera, please do tell. My price range is under 400, if possible.
