any comments?

and how do i make this apply to the menu, i cant seem to add a link that can only be seen by group 2 ???

    if ($pun_user['g_id'] != 2)
    {
        $links[] = '<li id="portalnavregister"><a href="register.php">'.$lang_common['Register'].'</a>';
        $links[] = '<li id="portalnavlogin"><a href="login.php">'.$lang_common['Login'].'</a>';

    }

is that wrong?

i am currently runing a clan site with punbb and i know that www.marine-hunters.co.uk does it

Bullen ( cretor of marine-hunters.co.uk ) created  lots of clan scripts, teamspeak viewer, match mod, clan user list. Just Use the group stuff.

i am using vwar for the matchs and its good

Im looking for a mod that when you submit a post, it will send it to the admin, to verify/edit before it gets posted to the public?

COuldnt seem to find on on punres either...

if now, is that anything like this? that will half the risk of abuse of the forum ?

Simple. Open any text editor. Windows has one, just hit Start then Run and type notepad
Copy the config displayed on screen in the text editor then do File -> Save as "config.php" (with quotes). Upload it to your FTP.

I have been doing some investigation and I think I have found out the cause of the error!

By creating a new document and copying bits, slowly into the new file, i was able to find out what coding was causing the 500 error, i used search.php. ( modified )... the errror was created by

require PUN_ROOT.'footer.php';

Doing further investegations into the footer.php file the code causing the problem is

 $db->close();

on line 210. It is the last command before exit($tpl_main). If I comment out the db$->close; the page displays.

Could it be that the database is already closed? How can I check this? Is it a configuration of MySQL so that it closes on a commit of a transaction?

Can you show me the tech spec for punbb

692

(35 replies, posted in PunBB 1.2 troubleshooting)

just had the enginners They say the server is fine, and they cannot see anything wrong. As they have run other php scripts which worked fine. The reason a 500 is occuring is because the script is making the server crash.
