Haven't installed it yet (have no spam ATM), but it appears to be everything I would need. The blocking of multiple urls from new users is a good one, as most of the spam I've seen is the link list type for search engines.

The blue link text is blinding. Can't see looking at it for more than a few seconds.

If you're looking for a small, free image editor with alpha transparency support, you can try here.

Why not update the original scripts?

never mind. see this post.

thank cthulhu i'm using editplus and could undo all that wink

Don't bother installing the above file attachment mod on the latest version of punbb. After you get through all the steps, and then run the install script, you'll get this friendly error...

You are running a version of PunBB (1.2.15) that this mod does not support. This mod supports PunBB versions: 1.2, 1.2.1, 1.2.3, 1.2.4, 1.2.5

thanks. It's done a little way we like to call "the right way."

now I can theme the output. very neat.

[edit]

I applied your image dither update that has now disappeared. hope I'm not in trouble, lol. (it's working fine tho)

Must the thumbnail in the 'gallery view' of my mod link to a html page? Or the posted thumbnail in the forum?

Actually, only the forum thumbnail would matter, of course. Where is my brain again?

How did you change the title 'administrator' to 'GFG ADMIN?'

I tried changing that in the language file but it made no difference..

So kind of you for taking the time, but both would be desirable, as I could control how they appear through css, etc..

true. i can't see myself paying for something i'll likely never use..

This would be quite easy to do. Have you already got a template you want to use?

Sure, just a basic html tamplate that I could mod later..

<html>
<head>
<title>forum</title>
</head>

<body>

<center>
<image>
<p><a href="">Back to Forum</a></p>
</center>

</body>
</html>

yeah, but ajax requires no plugins, is fashionably web 2.0-ish and it can cook you a steak/bring you a beer.

don't you see?! it's all about ajax, man! ajax, ajax, ajax.

actually, it would be very easy, come to think of it. i just tried to include it into a fixed height layout, which was not so bright.

integrating it into punbb would be difficult, but doable. By that, I mean inserting it into punbb's template and scheme. it needs to be full screen though, because of various div overlays.

^^ wow. impressive work. although, in tg's two column layouts, the right column is pushing the left down to the bottom of the page here in firefox 2.0.

Is it ajax? here's a nice ajax chat script. it skinnable, but i wouldn't recommend trying to integrate it into your forum or website, as it might make you slightly insane.

You can do a slideshow type effect with Lightbox or Greybox, which would only need a rel tag adding to the code.

That would be pretty cool and web2.0 ish, but I'm stuck on dialup so lightboxes make me nuts..

This forum is soooo refreshing. It has the cleanest code of any forum I've skinned, which includes IPB, phpBB and more lesser known ones than I can remember. I'll invariably get to a point in skinning when I have to edit some hard coding until I'm think "My God, what a mess!" Not so here. PunnBB is like a bowel movement after being constipated for a month. Ahhhhhh......

Congrats on a job well done.

Looks good.

That is very cool, but the #E8E8E8 is blinding around all that darkness...

I used photoshop to equalize the shades and it came up with #B7B7B7.

Aren't I annoying yet helpful?
