you sig gets cached then displays the same one every time, if you keep the same images (and use few images) page load time is as fast for including the files with php, the layout is better and it is generally nicer to use

yeh they are just details, i'm just looking at the general design atm not where stuff will be, and i'm sure i'll integrate gizzmos calendar
edit: works in netscape ok, however in netscape and FF the middle box appears above the side columns and in IE it appears below not a major problem but not perfect...
edit: finally got it to line up (although 1 pixel out in IE)

ok i've been having a look at the design of it and so far i have this (valid xhtml and css works in IE and FF although looks different in them):

yeh but if you do that then it is wasted that you can include different base files for different styles. why can't you just have Oxygen LTR and Oxygen RTL on the style list?
