Like what? My experience of Opera 9 is its css handling is superior to Firefox 1.5.

Opera 9 has now been released. From my experience of using the beta release this is certainly my browser of choice for browsing. It would also use it for development but I can't live without Chis Pedricks Web Developer extension for Firefox. The other good news is that there is no longer any point in fixing a couple of irritating but harmless bugs in Opera 8.5.

Pedant. It doesn't actually belong on this board at all.

Moving. This is a MyPunBB problem and certainly doesn't belong in the Bug Reports forum.

Are you sure you haven't altered something. Profile works perfectly down to 640x480 let alone 800x600. The signature box doesn't need altering becuase it has a percentage width so it shrinks to fit.

There is an option to turn fancy url's on and off in the admin console. The default is off.

1. Thats already dealt with in the next vesion.

2. If  you parse messages before you store them how would you deal with existing messages either in a database that has been converted to PunBB or when there are upgrades to PunBB or even just parser.php.

I'm sure I've seen some one line functions using regular expressions on the php site which just take all the illegal characters and convert them to numeric references which is whats really required.

I agree that certainly private messaging ought to be "officially supported". By that I mean steps should be taken to ensure it gets updated when PunBB gets updated.

P.S. Its sounds as if it wouild almost be as quick to actually create the extensions as it would be to do "good solid well testing". There is one real advantage from a markup point of view and that is steps can be taken to ensure the core markup accomodates the extension neatly.

Works fine if I override IE's default cookie handling to allow third party cookies otherwise it doesn't. You aren't using some kind of framed redirect are you?

I would have said that it was more likely that the hcard microformat would get implemented in which case it is an hcard parser which would be needed to extract the vcard.

Thats just because some mods are pre-installed for you.

They are the same thing. MyPunBB just provides a pre-installed PunBB forum for those who don't have access to servers capable of running PunBB or don't know how to install it.

There is no chance of the the automcomplete attribute being added as a default. My attitude is that since this is browser feature rather than part of xhtml then it is up to people to set up their own browsers correctly. The only exception I would make are secure commerical sites where safety takes precedence over everything.

Smartys does do work on the code mainly in the bug tracking/fixing and beta testing area. He knows his way around the code rather better than most.

England have a chance if they remember that football matches last 90 minutes not 45 minutes and the blessed Sven leaves the most important players on the pitch for the whole match.

Update

Sweden 0 - 0 Trinidad

Oops!

The current odds are
Brazil - 5/2
England - 8/1
Germany - 8/1
Argentina - 17/2
Italy - 10/1
Holland - 14/1
France - 14/1
Span - 14/1
Portugal - 25/1

Those are likely to change based on todays performances.

Brazil.

England 1 - 0 Paraguay

As usual, England played like a world class team for 45 minutes and like a pub team for the next 45 minutes.

Highest CPU load I could get out of Firefox and Opera was 13%. IE6 spiked at 30% for a moment but generally the highest spiked at about 24%. Site seems to be loading just fine.

Why don't you ask you members who are experiencing problems to take a look at this site and see if they get the same problem.

You do have a problem though in that your meta tag, title and stylesheet link are declared twice, the second time outside the <head> tag.

Doing the same for me.

The ellipsis is chr(133) so you need to add chr(133) to the first array and the numeric reference 8230 to the second array. It shouldn't really cause a problem though because PunBB actually uses it for page numbering and its perfectly valid though PunBB does use the entity reference not the character itself.

Yes there is a number attached to each letter/character.

Everything is fine in IE6 now (or as fine as it ever will be in IE6).

This year will be my 12th visit to Cyprus. I've never actually stayed in Limassol itself, I often stay just down the road at Pissouri but I'm well used the Limassol roundabout system.

You have a problem in IE6, specifically the vertical scrollbar is missing.

P.S.  Totally off topic but do you know if they have finished the Limassol (Lemesos) flyover yet?

All posts, including existing ones go through parser.php before they are sent to the browser. If the function Smarty's posted is added to parser.php then it will deal with existing posts. I would just paste the function into parser.php somewhere near the top and then look for the line which says $text = htmlspecialchars($text) and then put $text = CleanupSmartQuotes($text); immediatelly following it. You can't do any harm by doing that since you are only changing what is sent to the browser i.e. you are not altering the stored messages in any way.

P.S. I think I prefer the function given here http://shiflett.org/archive/165 because it just uses standard quotes.
