I can't imagine why you would want to use size tags.
If your users cant read the small punbb font-size, just tell them to use ctrl+scrollwheel
I don't have a scrollwheel

Works brilliantly, and its free
I've heard much about register_globals, but don't understand what it is or what to do to protect your sites from this kind of exploits. Can anyone explain that to me or give me a link where I can read it?
Nice work.
Upgrade to 1.1.5!!!
I was just browsing the punBB Discussions forum here, and came across the "punBB with no tables" thread... in the thread listing, the author is shown to be Rickard, but inside the thread, the first poster was Lucas...?
Looks interesting... a bit TOO feature packed though imo.
Shame that people lower ratings for something like that...
Learned aerospace engineering in his free time? jeez.
Its not really in the same league as punBB. While it does have less bloat than most of the other bigger packages...
Great work. Seems well thought out... good luck with it.
Great style. There is a copyright at the very bottom of the page.
Update to 1.15!
Punbb works a as a clock, i use to be on Invision but it takes to much traffic with punbb my traffic costs me 3 times cheaper:))))))
Sweet...
Just did some local speed testing:
InvisionBoard average speed: 0.00449673271179
punBB average speed: 0.00240712326765
So there is a speed advantage.. thats from 4000 hits on the index.php of both invision and pun, on a 400mhz machine.
Default installation index.php size:
Invision: 4.48kb
punBB: 3.39kb
Size saving. This is of course only on a default installation though, so values might be different once you have added all your forums etc.
Could a setting be implemented where the footer, instead of showing "Powered by punBB Version 1.15" have "Powered by punBB"? This way, a malicous user can't search as efficiently for boards to hack.
It means the MySQL libraries are no longer embedded in PHP.
Bah. I really wish they were... prefer mysql embedded than sqlite.
alisoft, I am confused as to what you mean... php is for free download at http://www.php.net.
The PHP team announced the final release of PHP 5.
Some of the key features of PHP 5 include:
- The Zend Engine II with a new object model and dozens of new features.
XML support has been completely redone in PHP 5, all extensions are now focused around the excellent libxml2 library (http://www.xmlsoft.org/).
- A new SimpleXML extension for easily accessing and manipulating XML as PHP objects. It can also interface with the DOM extension and vice-versa.
- A brand new built-in SOAP extension for interoperability with Web Services.
- A new MySQL extension named MySQLi for developers using MySQL 4.1 and later. This new extension includes an object-oriented interface in addition to a traditional interface; as well as support for many of MySQL's new features, such as prepared statements.
- SQLite has been bundled with PHP. For more information on SQLite, please visit their website.
- Streams have been greatly improved, including the ability to access low-level socket operations on streams.
- And lots more...
Will order next week... if there are any left at that point.
omg. Well played by Greece. Solid performance by Portugal too...
When I get any invites, will distribute them here.
Thankyou very much sverrir!
Its better than I thought... so incredibly FAST!
lol, great prediction
Looks good so far... keep developing
